Ocean Five Hotel Miami Beach

My boyfriend and I spent one night here before going on our cruise. The front desk staff (I can't remember her name) was so lovely and helpful. The manager was also amazing. They provide you with beach towels, the water is just steps away! I would definitely stay here again and recommend to everyone!!

A coffee machine, refrigerator, and microwave are all offered. Rooms can be a tight fit, and the beds are definitely not huge. For the price, it’s just what we needed. The staff are ALWAYS friendly and willing to help. No washing machine or elevator, so definitely not wheelchair accessible for the second floor. If wheelchair accessibility is important to you, I recommend booking the first floor or requesting it. The beach is extremely close! Definitely good for a short stay. Seriously, a highlight on the amazing staff!

Great location, very short walk to the beach and you’re quickly in the exciting part of Ocean Drive. Very helpful, friendly staff. The room was basic - no tea/coffee. Tiny bathroom and the air con was a bit old and noisy but it didn’t affect our enjoyment of this cool art deco hotel! Recommended if you want to be on Miami Beach, but not directly in the party!

Stayed at this hotel for 1 night before a cruise. The location and price were great. The staff were very nice and helpful. The room was large and included a sofa and coffee table area. The bathroom was very small. If you like a fancy hotel I would recommend to stay somewhere else but it was great for what we needed.

I had an excellent experience at this hotel! The service was outstanding, and the location couldn’t have been more convenient—close to everything we needed. A special shoutout to Josue at the reception for his warm welcome and professionalism. He went above and beyond to ensure our check-in process was smooth and enjoyable. I also want to give credit to Andy for his incredible help during our stay. His friendly attitude and quick assistance made a big difference and truly enhanced our experience. My wife and I wanted to love this place, but may not have been the place for us. First of all, location is great. For the price, you can’t ask for a better place in this location. Staff offered towels to take to the beach. And for being in the heart of South Beach, it was generally quiet. Parking was cheaper than I thought I read on the website, but upon check in, how to park wasn’t very clear. The guys running the lot next door were actually the valets. And the front desk wasn’t all that clear how to go about having the valets take care of the vehicle. But these guys did and there were no issues. No elevator offered to us and we carried our bags up a narrow staircase. The room is basic as others have said, it is older, and ours was smaller than what the pictures showed, but the staff had ours clean with enough towels for our stay. No complaints there. WiFi was available, but you had to scan the QR code at the front desk. Beds were ok. But we reserved a room with one bed, received two. Wasn’t a big deal to us so we didn’t say anything to the front desk. In the morning, could not get hot water, and the shower just dried up. No water after a few minutes. Not sure we’ll be back to the area. But we wouldn’t rule out staying here again as we know what to expect. But I’d also check my options.

We spent 5 wonderful nights at this hotel—2 adults and 2 small dogs. A huge thank you for the no additional pet fee—we really appreciated that! Yes, the room was on the smaller side, but it had everything we needed: a fridge, Keurig coffeemaker, and microwave. They also provided beach towels upon request, which was a great bonus. The shower had hot water, the towels were clean and new, and the bed was super comfortable! I highly recommend having breakfast downstairs at the restaurant—it was delicious. One tip: don’t park next to the hotel—it’s $40 per night, which is too much. Instead, use the parking garage on 7th Street (thanks to the hotel for sending that helpful info in their message!).
